The destination of this tour is the Thomaskirchhof with the ‘Bosehaus’ in Leipzig, where you can follow in the footsteps of J. S. Bach and the places where he worked. In 1723 Bach moved from Köthen to Leipzig with his family, bringing with him his own rich musical experience and ideas which he wanted to realise here. In his office as the new Thomaskantor, he set himself the goal of composing a cantata for every Sunday, which he almost (almost universally) achieved: his first cantata year was composed in 1723-1724.
